Military-grade cable harness assemblies
Design, reverse engineering, documentation and assembly of rugged electrical and fibre-optic cable systems for naval and defence equipment, including Indian-made replacements for imported assemblies.
What we do
Harnesses, and the documentation that makes them repeatable.
We design, document and build rugged cable harnesses and assemblies for naval and defence use. Past work includes electrical and fibre-optic casings, flanges and couplings for Indian Navy ship systems, and flask and turbine cable assemblies for submarine and torpedo systems.
Much of this work is reverse engineering. We take an imported assembly with no drawings, establish what it is (conductor schedule, screening, connector standard, materials, environmental rating) and produce the design documents, assembly plan and test procedure needed to make it in India, the same way every time.
How we work
The drawing set is the deliverable.
In harness work the documents matter as much as the hardware. The wiring schedule, connector pin-outs, materials and part numbers, routing and clamping details, and the continuity and insulation test procedure let someone build an identical unit two years later without having seen the first.
Assembly planning covers the details that decide reliability in the field: strain relief, bend radius, screen continuity, backshell termination and how the harness is supported along its run.
Every assembly is tested to a written procedure for continuity, insulation resistance and, for fibre, optical loss. The results go into the delivered documents.
What you get
Deliverables.
The assembled, tested harness and the full manufacturing package: wiring schedule, connector pin-outs, materials and part numbers, routing and clamping details, and the assembly sequence.
Each unit comes with its test records for continuity, insulation resistance and, where there is fibre, optical loss, recorded against the written procedure so anyone can audit them.
For a reverse-engineered assembly the package also includes the investigation record: what the original measured as, what was substituted and why, and the case for each material or component that differs from the imported part.
